About Studio Aid – Group Edition

Studio Aid – Group Edition is a virtual duet/trio/group competition and fundraiser with all money raised going to participating studios across the world. We are honored to be able to bring the community together with a fun opportunity, while trying to do our part to support your local studios.

How Do I Participate?

Your studio director will complete registration and submit routine videos for duet/trios/groups directly in our online studio portal. Submitted videos can be performances from other competitions, in-studio videos, or videos shot from home. Video performances do not have to be in full competition costuming. Videos may be from 2019 or 2020.

For this event, studios are able to submit one routine per age division, per group size, for a total of up to 16 routines. For example, in the senior age division, you are able to submit one senior duet/trio, one senior small group, one senior large group, and one senior line — for a total of 4 routines in the senior division. You may repeat this for each age division: Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior.

For any questions in regards to how many routines you are able to submit, please email us at info@in10sity-dance.com.

There are no registration fees to enter. This is a fundraiser specifically designed to benefit your studio!

Please note: Your studio must participate in Studio Aid – Group Edition in order to participate in the virtual improv competition.

When Is This Taking Place?

Submissions for Studio Aid – Group Edition and the virtual improv competition will be accepted from Sunday, May 3rd to Friday, May 15th.

Livestream of Studio Aid – Group Edition will begin on Friday, May 29th. The schedule will be determined by the total number of entries submitted following the registration period.

The virtual improv competition will TENTATIVELY take place June 5th-7th (the weekend following Studio Aid – Group Edition), pending the final schedule and ending date of Studio Aid.

What Happens During Competition?

During the virtual duet/trio/group competition and fundraiser (beginning on May 29th) we will air the videos on our live stream, following a schedule like a normal competition. During this time, participating studios, dancers, and viewers worldwide will take part in an online pay-per-vote polling system to raise money for your dance studio ($1 = 1 vote from family, friends, or teachers, etc.).

The recognized winners will be the studios and routines that obtain the most votes for their routine(s) – with all money raised being donated back to each participating dance studio. Winners will be announced via social media.
